Care
Philosophy
My philosophy of care centers around providing
collaborative, personalized, holistic, and family-centered midwifery care
for pregnant individuals and their newborns.
I believe in the physiological process of childbirth and aim to create a safe and reverent environment within the place you feel most comfortable -- home.
I emphasize the importance of informed decision-making, fostering strong relationships, and nurturing trust and autonomy. Home birth midwives prioritize continuous emotional and physical support throughout labor, promoting non-interventive and evidence-based practices. Midwives value the power of a peaceful, familiar setting and encourage active participation and individualized care before, during, and after the birthing process.
With expertise in managing uncomplicated births, monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, and recognizing potential complications, home birth midwives strive to provide a positive, empowering birth experience while ensuring the safety and health of both the birthing person and the baby.
“In giving birth to our babies, we may find that we give birth to new possibilities within ourselves.”
